About the Scheme

Implemented by the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority, this scheme provides financial assistance and compensation to women victims and survivors of sexual offences and other crimes.

Benefits

• Final Compensation: ₹3 lakh to ₹10 lakh depending on the nature of the crime.
• Interim Relief: Immediate relief of ₹5,000/- to ₹10,000/- or free medical benefits.
• Consolidated compensation for victims of multiple covered offences.

Eligibility

• Resident of Uttarakhand.
• Women (or dependents) who are victims of rape, acid attack, disability, or injuries resulting from violence.

Application Process

Offline/Online

Applications can be made to the District/State Legal Services Authority or via the NALSA website. For interim relief, police must share FIR copies with the authorities. Victims can also seek free legal help from panel lawyers or paralegal volunteers.

Documents Required

• Aadhaar Card and Copy of FIR.
• Medical Certificate and Charge Sheet.
• Court orders (if case is pending or disposed).
• Bills/receipts of treatment and proof of financial loss.
