The scheme “Travel Grants To Goan Authors” is a cultural initiative by the Kala Academy, Goa. It enables writers to acquaint themselves with people and literary figures of other regions in India to widen their awareness.

Benefits

• The grant amount is decided by Kala Academy.
• Provision for an advance of up to 75% of the total grant.
• Available for a maximum of two Goan authors annually.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a writer.
• The applicant must be a resident of Goa.

Application Process

Offline:

• Step 1: Look for press announcements in local media containing the application proforma.
• Step 2: Fill the entry form and attach supporting documents.
• Step 3: Submit the form to the Member Secretary, Kala Academy, Panaji.
• Step 4: Applications are reviewed by the Advisory Committee for Literature.

• Travel Plan within the stipulated time.
