About the Scheme

The scheme “Teelu Rauteli Award” was launched by the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development, Government of Uttarakhand, to honor women and adolescent girls who have made outstanding achievements in fields such as social work, education, literature, art, culture, and bravery.

Benefits

One woman or adolescent girl from each district is awarded a cash prize of ₹51,000/- along with a certificate of appreciation by the State Government.

Eligibility

• Resident of Uttarakhand.
• Must be a woman or adolescent girl.
• Outstanding achievements in social service, education, literature, art, culture, or acts of courage and bravery.

Application Process

Online

1. Applications are invited once a year via the portal https://wecd.uk.gov.in/.
2. A District Level Committee reviews applications and recommends three names per district.
3. The State Level Committee selects the final recipients.
4. The award is distributed on 8th August every year.

Documents Required

• Identity and Age Proof.
• Proof of residence.
• Bank Account Details.
• Achievement certificates/details and documents related to other awards.
