About the Scheme
The “Swanath Scholarship Scheme” is implemented by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Uttarakhand. It provides financial support to diploma and graduate-level students who are orphans, children of COVID-19 victims, or dependents of martyrs from the military or central armed forces.
Benefits
Eligible students at the diploma or graduation level receive financial assistance of ₹50,000/- per annum.
Eligibility
- Resident of Uttarakhand and currently a student.
- Must be an orphan, have lost one or both parents to COVID-19, or be a dependent of a martyr.
- Annual family income must not exceed ₹8,00,000/-.
Application Process
Online
Applications are invited through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) at Swanath Scholarship between September and December. Scholarships are awarded based on merit.
- Apply online through the institute where enrolled.
- Verification is done by the Principal, then the State Level Officer (SLO).
- Final forwarding to AICTE, New Delhi.
Documents Required
- High School and Intermediate mark sheets/certificates.
- Income certificate.
- Death certificate of parent(s).
