About the Scheme

The scheme “Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization for Custom Hiring Centres / Big Farmers” is implemented by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to promote mechanization by providing access to modern farm machinery at subsidized rates.

Benefits

Under the Custom Hiring Centre component, farmer groups, cooperatives, FPOs, SHGs, and individual farmers can purchase equipment valued between ₹10.00 lakh and ₹100.00 lakh. The Government of India provides a maximum subsidy of 40%.

Eligibility

  • Large farmers (owning 5 hectares or more), cooperative groups, SHGs, or custom hiring centres in Uttarakhand.
  • Must have cultivable land in Uttarakhand recorded in revenue records.

Application Process

Online

  1. Apply through the SMAM portal: https://agrimachinery.nic.in or via a Common Service Center (CSC).
  2. Upload required documents including Aadhaar, bank details, and land certificates.
  3. Purchase equipment from an approved panel firm listed on the portal.
  4. Upload purchase bills for verification.
  5. The subsidy is disbursed directly to the bank account via DBT on a “first-come, first-served” basis.

  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • For groups: Photo of president, Aadhaar cards and land documents of all members.
