About the Scheme

The scheme “State Level Sports Awards” was launched by the Department of Sports, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to recognize and honor players and coaches from Uttarakhand who have achieved remarkable success at the national and international levels in sports.

Benefits

Under this scheme, the following awards are conferred:

• Khel Ratna: 1 player – ₹5.00 lakh
• Himalaya Ratna: 6 players – ₹1.00 lakh per player
• Dronacharya Award: 2 coaches – ₹3.00 lakh per coach

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
• The applicant must be a player or coach who has achieved remarkable success at the national or international level in the field of sports.

Application Process

Offline

Applications are invited once a year for the State Awards. These are presented to eligible players and coaches in accordance with the prescribed standards.

Submission of documents as per the department’s guidelines.
