“Spectacle Grant” is a welfare scheme by the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry, providing ₹2,000/- for purchasing spectacles.

Benefits

Financial assistance of ₹2,000/- credited to the beneficiary’s bank account via RTGS/NEFT.

Eligibility

• Ex-serviceman or Widow of an ESM registered with the Department.
• Must NOT be a member of the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS).

Exclusion

Does not apply to those re-employed as regular/deemed regular in Gov/PSU/Private sectors or self-employed IT assesses.

Application Process

Offline

• Step 1: Print the form from the official website or visit the Rajya Sainik Board in Lawspet.
• Step 2: Fill in mandatory fields and attach documents.
• Step 3: Submit to the Rajya Sainik Board within three months of purchase.
• Step 4: Receive an application receipt.

Documents Required

• Identity Card and Discharge Certificate.
• Original Doctor’s Prescription and Original Purchase Bill.
• Declaration form.
