The “Special Incentive Scheme for Women of Tharu, Boksa and Other Tribes (For Training and Marketing)” is implemented by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Department under the Department of Industries, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to empower tribal women artisans through specialized training and marketing opportunities and ensures the provision of financial assistance for travel, logistics, and stall rent for participating artisans.

Benefits

  • Training Incentives: Training in various crafts (2 months duration, max 25 days/month, 5 hours/day).
  • Marketing Promotions: Priority participation in fairs and exhibitions. The State Government covers minimum travel fare, freight (up to ₹1,000/-), and stall rent.

Eligibility

Women artisans belonging to the Tharu, Boksa, and other tribes engaged in the craft sector in Uttarakhand will be eligible for training and marketing support.

Application forms can be obtained from the District Industries Centre or downloaded from doi.uk.org. Applications are reviewed by a committee headed by the General Manager, DIC. After approval from the Director of Industries, selected women are invited for training and fairs.
