The scheme “Solar Energy Assistance Scheme” is implemented by the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (UKBOCWWB) under the Labour Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide solar energy plates/panels to the families of registered construction workers.

Benefits

Under this scheme, solar energy plates/panels will be provided, and for maintenance and service charges, beneficiaries will have to contact the concerned supplier.

Eligibility

The applicant must be a registered construction worker with the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

Application Process

Online – via CSC

The online application can be submitted through Shramik Suvidha Kendras. Along with the application form, applicants are required to attach a self-attested photocopy of their Shramik Card, Aadhaar Card, Self-Declaration Certificate, and a certificate confirming that no similar benefit has been availed from any other department.

After verification during the departmental investigation, solar energy plates/panels are provided to the beneficiary through the concerned supplier/dealer. This benefit can be availed only once in a lifetime.

Son/Daughter Education Assistance (UKBOCWWB)

The “Son/Daughter Education Assistance” scheme is implemented by the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (UKBOCWWB) under the Labour Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme provides financial assistance to the children of registered building and construction workers pursuing education from Class I up to higher education or professional courses.

Benefits

Financial assistance for education will be provided to the children of construction workers at the following rates:

  • Class 1 to 5: ₹1,800/- yearly
  • Class 6 to 10: ₹2,400/- yearly
  • Class 11 to 12: ₹3,000/- yearly
  • Graduation/Post Graduation or its equivalent: ₹10,000/- yearly
  • ITI, Polytechnic courses or higher education: The course fee will be payable to the Government Institutions / College.

Eligibility

  • The two (2) children of a construction worker registered with the UKBOCWWB will be eligible.
  • Applications must be submitted between November of the admission financial year and June of the next academic session.
  • Financial assistance is provided on an annual basis.

Construction workers have to apply online through Shramik Suvidha Kendras. Documents required include Shramik Card, worker’s Aadhaar, mobile number, bank details, children’s Aadhaar, mark sheet of previous year (not for Class 1), enrollment certificate, and self-declaration. After verification, funds are credited to the worker’s account.
