The “Smt. Uma Gupta Fellowship for M.Sc. Agriculture (Genetics & Plant Breeding) Students” scheme is implemented by Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, under the Department of Agriculture, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance and encourage meritorious students pursuing the M.Sc. Agriculture (Genetics & Plant Breeding) course by offering a fellowship for three semesters, thereby reducing their economic burden.
Amount of Fellowship: ₹1,000/- per month (For three semesters only).

Students are first invited to submit their applications on the prescribed form. A committee, constituted by the Vice Chancellor, then reviews and evaluates these applications following a defined procedure. Based on the committee’s recommendations, the Vice Chancellor grants approval, after which the selected students receive the fellowship payments.
Documents are required in accordance with the university guidelines prescribed for this scheme.
