The scheme “Male Goat Supply Scheme on Grant Basis” by the Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh aims to improve the breed of indigenous/local goats throughout the state.

Benefits

Male Goat Package (Total value ₹8,300/-):

• One improved breed male goat (Jamnapari, Barbari, or Sirohi): ₹7,500/-
• Insurance coverage (1 year): ₹206/-
• Mineral mixture: ₹394/-
• Training booklet and monitoring card: ₹200/-

Grant Component: Government contribution is 75%; Beneficiary contribution is 25%.

Eligibility

• Resident of Madhya Pradesh.
• Actively involved in goat rearing with a minimum of 5 goats.
• Open to goat rearers of any category.

Application Process

Offline:
1. Initial approval by the beneficiaries in Gram Sabha.
2. Secondary approval by the Janpad Panchayat.
3. Final approval by the Agriculture Standing Committee of the District Panchayat.
