The “Salary Reimbursement Scheme” by the Department of IT, Goa, incentivizes startups to hire local Goan talent. It offers two types of salary support.
Benefits
- Hiring Local Freshers: 50% of the fresher’s salary reimbursed (capped at ₹10,000 per month). Max 25 recruits for 3 years.
- High Local Workforce (60%+): Up to 25% of the local workforce salary (capped at ₹25,00,000 per year) for 3 years. Max 25 employees.
Note: Disbursement within 60 days of approval.
Eligibility
- Startup must be certified by the Start-up Promotion Cell (SPC).
- Employees must be hired for at least 12 months.
- Fresher recruits must be IT professionals.
- Bank accounts of employees and directors must be Aadhaar-linked.
- Expenses must be paid digitally.
Application Process
Online
- Step 1-10: Register and login on the Goa Startup Mission website, fill the application form, upload documents, and submit.
- Evaluation: SPC verifies the application, performs due diligence on expenses, and notifies approval/rejection within 45 days.
Documents Required
- Aadhaar of Directors and relevant employees.
- HR Letter certifying contracts and technical work profiles.
- Contracts of employment (min 12 months).
- Salary slips and bank statements showing debit of salary.
- Annexure 1 documents.
