The scheme “Sainik School Scholarship Located Outside the Uttarakhand” is implemented by the Secondary Education Department under the Department of Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to students from Uttarakhand who are studying in classes 6 to 12 at Sainik Schools located outside the state.
Benefits
Rate of Scholarships:
- ₹40,000/- per annum for students from families with a monthly income up to ₹12,000/-.
- ₹30,000/- per annum for students from families with a monthly income of ₹12,001/- to ₹15,000/-.
- ₹20,000/- per annum for students from families with a monthly income of ₹15,001/- to ₹18,000/-.
- ₹10,000/- per annum for students from families with a monthly income of ₹18,001/- to ₹22,000/-.
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
- The applicant must be studying in Classes 6 to 12 in a Sainik School located outside Uttarakhand.
- The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the applicant’s family income.
- The applicant is not eligible if the monthly family income exceeds ₹22,000/-.
Application Process
Offline:
- The student studying in a Sainik School located outside Uttarakhand will apply for a scholarship in that school.
- Along with the application, the student must submit required documents (income certificate, residence certificate, Aadhaar).
- All Sainik Schools located outside the state will forward the applications to Sainik School Ghorakhal.
- Sainik School Ghorakhal will compile the applications and send a proposal to the department.
- The department allocates funds to the concerned schools through Sainik School Ghorakhal, and schools disburse the scholarship via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

- Permanent residence certificate

- Proof of an Aadhaar-linked bank account
