“Relief During Natural Calamities Such as Cyclone, Flood or Fire” is a welfare scheme by the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry, providing up to ₹40,000/- as relief to registered ESM and their families.

Benefits

Relief of actual damage cost or a maximum of ₹40,000/-. Credited to the beneficiary’s Bank Account via RTGS/NEFT.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be an Ex-serviceman, Widow of an ESM, or Dependent of an ESM.
• Must be registered with the Department of Sainik Welfare, Puducherry.
• Must have suffered damage due to natural calamities (cyclone, flood, or fire).

Exclusion

ESM or widows who are re-employed as regular/deemed regular in Government/PSU/Private organizations or are self-employed IT assesses.

Application Process

Offline

• Step 1: Visit the Rajya Sainik Board, Lawspet Main Road, Puducherry and request the application form.
• Step 2: Fill mandatory fields and attach copies of documents.
• Step 3: Submit the signed form and documents at the Rajya Sainik Board.
• Step 4: Obtain an application receipt.

Documents Required

• Identity Card of the ESM/Widow.
• Discharge Certificate.
• Proof of damages due to the natural calamity.
• Declaration form.
