The “Reimbursement of Expenses for Startups Operating from Leased/Privately Owned Premises Scheme” is implemented by the Department of IT, Goa. It assists startups with operational infrastructure costs.

Benefits

  • For Privately Owned Premises: Reimbursement of internet, software licenses, and cloud fees up to ₹ 1,00,000 per quarter for one year. (Available to 20 startups/year).
  • For Rented Premises: Same reimbursements as above (₹ 1,00,000 per quarter). Plus, a lease rental subsidy of up to ₹ 20/- per sq. ft. per month (capped at ₹ 3,00,000 per annum) for local startups for up to two years. (Available to 25 startups/year).

Note: Startups cannot avail both owned and rented benefits simultaneously. Subject to digital payment verification.

Eligibility

  • Certified startups by the Start-up Promotion Cell (SPC).
  • Must not be using government-developed co-working spaces/incubators.
  • “Local startup”: At least 50% equity held by Goans.

Application Process

Online/Email

  • Step 1-7: Register and login via the Goa Startup Mission website.
  • Step 8-10: Complete the scheme application, upload documents, and submit.
  • Alternatively, email the proforma to spc-dit.goa@gov.in within 6 months of incurring expenditure.

Documents Required

  1. Aadhaar of Director/CEO.
  2. Birth/Domicile/Marriage certificate (to prove Goan status).
  3. Registered Lease Deed (if applicable).
  4. Original proof of payment for lease/software/internet/cloud.
  5. IT filings showing rent amount.
  6. Software license details and bills from certified vendors.
