Launched in 2018, the “Registration & Stamp Duty Subsidy Scheme” is an Information Technology Policy Scheme by the Government of Goa. It helps IT units reduce setup costs by subsidizing legal charges for land or office space transactions.
Benefits
- Reimbursement of stamp duty and registration charges.
- Effective cost to the unit will not exceed ₹ 100/-.
- The full excess amount is reimbursed at the end of two years from the start of commercial operations.
Note: Eligible for transactions made during the policy period or up to 3 years prior to notification.
Eligibility
- Units must operate in Goa.
- Eligible legal entities: Proprietorship, Private/Public Ltd Company, Partnership, or LLP.
- Bank accounts of units and directors must be Aadhaar-linked.
Application Process
Online
- Step 1-4: Register and Login to the Goa Online portal.
- Step 5-6: Select “IT Services” -> “Registration & Stamp Duty Subsidy Scheme”, fill the form, upload documents, and submit.
Disbursement Timeline
- Scrutiny: D+30 days; Approval: D+60 days; Disbursement: D+90 days.
Documents Required
- Incorporation Certificate.
- New Unit Registration document.
- PAN, Aadhaar, and GST TIN copies.
- Memorandum and Articles of Association.
- First bill showing commencement of operations.
- Occupancy certificate.
- Employee details (Goan origin percentage).
- Challans/Receipts for stamp duty, registration fee, etc.
- Lease deed, sale deed, or ownership documents.
- Udyog Aadhaar.
