The “PVTGs Dakia Yojana (Chief Minister’s Food Security Scheme)” by the Welfare Department, Government of Jharkhand, aims to ensure food security for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). Under this scheme, subsidized food grains are provided to PVTG families to improve their living conditions.
Benefits
Food Security for PTG Families:
Free provision of 35 kg of wheat and rice per family per month at ₹1 per kg.
Direct Village-Level Distribution:
Food grains are distributed at the village level by Block Welfare Officers.
Support for National Food Security:
Complements the “Antyodaya Yojana” by including all PVTG families in Jharkhand.
Eligibility
The applicant must belong to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).
The applicant’s family must be enrolled under the “Antyodaya Yojana.”
The family should reside in designated PVTG areas or remote locations.
