The scheme “Promotion of Tiatr Related Activities” provides financial assistance to preserve and promote traditional Konkani theatrical art in local villages and towns through musical shows and competitions.

Benefits & Categories

  • Category A1 – Konkani Musical Shows: Support for shows with at least 14 songs and 2 skits.
  • Category A2 – Singing Competitions: For competitions with at least 15 participants singing new compositions.
  • Category B1 – Acting/One-Act Competitions: For monologue, dialogue, or script-based contests.
  • Category B2 – Celebrating Tiatr Artists: Programs to remember or felicitate prominent artists.

Conditions: Events must be free for the public. A 6x10ft backdrop with TAG logo is mandatory. Acknowledgement of TAG is required in all ads.

Eligibility

  • Open to cultural institutions or individuals in Goa.
  • Events must be organized in the applicant’s respective village/town.
  • Lyrics/scripts must be new and not previously recorded.
  • Bands for Category A must have at least 5 instruments.
  • NOC required if applicant is not the director/writer.

Application Process

Offline

  • Submit application at TAG office: 30 days advance for shows/competitions; 15 days for B2 category; 8 days for song lyrics in A2.
  • Post-Application: Finalize the Chief Guest with TAG. Setup the event with mandatory branding. Submit a statement of expenditure with original bills for payment after the event.

Documents Required

  • Aadhaar and PAN copy.
  • Typed lyrics and scripts (30 days in advance).
  • Competition rules (for A2).
  • NOC from writer (if applicable).
  • Post-event: Statement of expenditure and original bills.
