The “Pandit Deendayal Educational Excellence Award” scheme is implemented by the Secondary Education Department to promote academic excellence among schools and students in the Uttarakhand Board examinations.

Benefits

For Schools (State Level):

• Intermediate level: ₹10,00,000/- (1st), ₹5,00,000/- (2nd), and ₹3,00,000/- (3rd).
• High School level: ₹8,00,000/- (1st), ₹4,00,000/- (2nd), and ₹2,00,000/- (3rd).

For Students (Intermediate Level):

• Top 3 positions: ₹21,000/-, ₹15,000/-, and ₹11,000/- respectively.
• 4th to 10th positions: ₹5,100/- each.

For Students (High School Level):

• Top 3 positions: ₹15,000/-, ₹11,000/-, and ₹8,000/- respectively.
• 4th to 10th positions: ₹5,100/- each.

Eligibility

• Schools: Must be among the top 3 performing schools in the state for High School or Intermediate levels.
• Students: Must be among the top 10 rank holders in the Uttarakhand Board Examinations.

Application Process

Offline:

Students are not required to submit any application. The Education Department receives the merit list directly from the Board. Funds are distributed through the Chief Education Officer to the respective schools via drafts, which are then given to the students directly or through award ceremonies.
