The scheme “Palna Ghar (Crèche)” is implemented by the Women Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide day care facilities for children aged 6 months to 6 years of working couples.

Benefits

The following monthly fees apply for day care:

• BPL families: ₹20/- per child.
• Income less than ₹12,000/-: ₹100/- per child.
• Income above ₹12,000/-: ₹200/- per child.

Eligibility

• The beneficiary must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
• The child must be aged between 6 months and 6 years.

Application Process

Offline:

A crèche is established in every district of Uttarakhand. Working couples can avail of the benefits by visiting their local facility and paying the applicable fee.

Documents Required

• Proof of age of the child.
• Income proof of the child’s parents/guardians.
• Any other documents as required by the district welfare office.
