The scheme “Organization of Various Conclaves and Felicitations to Encourage Women, Women Scientists, Teachers and Young Students” is implemented by the Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre (USERC). It aims to promote scientific attitude and skill development through organized conclaves and awards.

Benefits

The following conclaves and felicitations are organized:

  • Yuva-Bal Samagam: Medhavi Chhatra Samman
  • Teacher/Science Conclave: Vigyan Prasar Samman
  • Woman Scientists Conclave: Utkrisht Yuva Mahila Vaigyanik Samman
  • International Women’s Day: Mahila Prayogdharmi Samman

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand state.
  • Target groups include students, science teachers, women scientists, and the general public.

Application Process

Offline:

  • For Students: USERC honors the top five meritorious students from each district based on High School/12th Grade marks (Uttarakhand Board). The merit list is provided by the District Education Officer.
  • For Teachers: Applications are invited from across the state for the ‘Vigyan Prasar Samman’; advertisements are published in newspapers.
  • For Women Scientists: Applications are invited annually via newspaper advertisements for the ‘Utkrisht Yuva Mahila Vaigyaanik Samman’.
  • Mahila Prayogdharmi Samman: Awarded to women making exemplary contributions to science integration.

Documents Required

Documents are required as per the USERC guidelines corresponding to the specific honor or award.
