The scheme “One-Time Grant to Soldiers Conferred with the Vishisht Seva Medal Award” is implemented by the State Sainik Board under the Sainik Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand. Under this scheme, a one-time financial assistance/grant is provided to serving soldiers and ex-servicemen of the state who have been conferred with the ‘Vishisht Seva Medal Award’.

Benefits

  • A one-time grant ranging from a minimum of ₹75,000/- to a maximum of ₹2,00,000/- is given to serving soldiers and ex-servicemen of the state.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
  • The applicant must be a serving soldier or an ex-serviceman of the state who has been conferred with the ‘Vishisht Seva Medal Award’.

Application Process

Offline:

  • The application form must be obtained from and submitted to the District Sainik Welfare Office.
  • After verification at the District Sainik Welfare Office level, eligible applicants are paid the approved amount through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
  • The one-time grant is disbursed immediately, while any applicable annuity amount is released annually.

Documents Required

  • Aadhaar Card of the applicant
  • PAN Card
  • Photocopy of bank passbook and cancelled cheque
  • Identity card of the dependent (if the applicant is a dependent)
  • Domicile certificate of Uttarakhand
  • Affidavit (on ₹10/- stamp paper) declaring that the applicant has not received, and will not receive in the future, the one-time grant/annuity from any other state.
  • Photocopy of discharge book (if the applicant is an ex-serviceman)
  • A photocopy of the Gazette Notification regarding conferment of ‘Vishisht Seva Medal Award’
