This scheme, launched by the Rajasthan Government’s Labor Department, is designed to alleviate the financial burden of visa expenses for construction workers seeking employment abroad. By reimbursing these costs, the scheme aims to encourage construction workers to pursue overseas employment opportunities and contribute to the state’s economy through foreign remittances.

Benefits

The beneficiary will be reimbursed for the expenses incurred for a visa for employment abroad up to a maximum of ₹5,000/-.

Eligibility

• Construction workers must be registered with the board as beneficiaries and must be continuously depositing their contributions.
• To obtain overseas contract employment, construction workers need permission from the Protector of Emigrants (POE) office under the Emigration Act, 1983.
• The recruiting agency must be registered under the Emigration Act or possess a valid permit from the POE office.
• The reimbursement of the visa amount will be payable only if the beneficiary has a valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months along with a valid visa.
• The benefit of this scheme will be payable only if the future employment of the beneficiary abroad is in the construction and other construction works.
• The beneficiary will be entitled to the assistance amount only once.
• If any information given in the assistance application is found to be false, the beneficiary will be responsible for depositing the entire amount along with interest.

Online Registration

• Step-1: Applicant have to visit the official portal.
• Step-2: Click on the option “Register”.
• Step-3: Then you will be redirected to the SSO registration page.
• Step-4: Choose either Jan Aadhaar or Google to process further.
• Jan Aadhaar: Enter the Jan Aadhaar number, select family member, and verify via OTP.
• Google: Enter Gmail details, create SSO ID and password, and link mobile number.

Apply

• Step-1: Visit the official portal and login.
• Step-2: Click on “LDMS” option on the dashboard.
• Step-3: Select “Welfare Schemes” and then BOCW Welfare Board.
• Step-4: Click on “Apply for Scheme”.
• Step-5: Select the scheme name from the list.
• Step-6: Fill out details and Submit.

Time for applying: The registered beneficiary must apply within a maximum period of 3 months after obtaining a valid visa.

Documents Required

• Copy of the registration identity card of the beneficiary.
• Copy of the beneficiary’s Aadhaar card and Jan Aadhaar card.
• First page of the beneficiary’s savings bank account passbook (showing name, account number, and IFSC code).
• Visa with a copy of passport.
• Copy of employment contract issued by the foreign employer.
• Proof/Challan/Invoice of the amount deposited for Visa.
• Registration number of Recruiting Agent and copy of advertisement given for overseas employment.
