In an effort to tackle social issues and promote a more economical approach to weddings, the Rajasthani government introduced the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Evam Anudan Yojana in 2021. This initiative actively encourages mass marriage ceremonies to reduce excessive spending and discourage practices like child marriage and dowry.
Benefits
- Total Grant: ₹25,000/-
- To the bride: ₹21,000/-
- To Marriage Organizer: ₹4,000/- (through IFMS)
Eligibility
- The bride/groom should be a native of Rajasthan.
- Bride age: above 18 years; Groom age: above 21 years.
- Both bride and groom should be unmarried.
- Marriages should be registered as per rules.
Application Process
Offline:
- After the event and registration, the institution uploads information online for payment.
- Documents like certified lists of couples, marriage registration certificates, and hard copies must be submitted to the Women Empowerment Office.
- Verification: A competent officer or representative and a marriage registration officer must be present at the ceremony. Tehsildar or block-level officers (CDPO) can be nominated.
- Marriage registration must be done within 60 days of the ceremony.
- Proposals are examined by authorized officers. Deficiencies must be fulfilled 7 days before the ceremony.

- Photo of bride and groom (couple).
- Aadhaar card or Voter ID card.
- Birth certificate of bride and groom.
- Bank passbook of newly married girl.
- Marriage certificate.
