The “Mukhyamantri Rajya Krishi Vikas Yojana” is introduced by the Sugarcane Development and Sugar Industry, Govt of Uttarakhand. It aims to achieve holistic development of the agriculture and allied sectors, focusing on improved sugarcane cultivation. Grants are provided for seed production, machinery, transportation, and disease control.

Benefits

• Breeder Seed Production: Subsidy of ₹100/quintal.
• Aadhaar (Foundation) Nursery: Subsidy of ₹50/quintal (max ₹15,000/-).
• Primary Nursery: Subsidy of ₹25/quintal (max ₹10,000/-).
• Field Demonstrations: ₹7,500/- subsidy per farmer for 0.5 ha plots.
• Seed Transportation & Harvesting: 100% subsidy on actual elite seed transport costs.
• Agricultural Equipment: Manually operated machines under agricultural mechanization sub-mission.
• Pest & Weed Control: 50% subsidy or up to ₹3,000/- per hectare.
• Micronutrients & Bio-fertilizer: 50% subsidy or up to ₹1,000/- per hectare.

Eligibility

• The applicant should be a resident of Uttarakhand.
• Must be a sugarcane farmer, co-operative society, or progressive farmer engaged in sugarcane cultivation.

Application Process

Offline

• Selection of farmers is done via Gram Sabha discussions and surveys by Sugarcane Supervisors.
• Approvals are required from departmental officers (Inspector to Assistant Commissioner level).
