The scheme “Mukhyamantri Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Scholarship Scheme (Secondary Level – Classes 11 & 12)” is implemented by the Secondary Education Department under the Department of Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to encourage academic excellence by providing financial assistance to meritorious students who secured 80% or more marks in the Uttarakhand Board Examination of Class 10.

Benefits

Rate of Scholarship:

  • For Class 11th Students: ₹1,200/- per month for 1 year.
  • For Class 12th Students: ₹1,200/- per month for 1 year.

Eligibility

  • Student must have secured at least 80% marks in Uttarakhand Board Class 10 exams.
  • Must be studying in a state government or government-aided school.
  • Must maintain 75% attendance and 75% marks in Class 11.
  • SC/ST students get a 5% relaxation in marks and attendance.
  • No income criterion for parents/guardians.

Application Process

Offline

  • No competitive examination is required. The department selects students based on board results.
  • Students must submit their Aadhaar, bank details, caste certificate, and Class 10 passing certificate with the application form.
  • The scholarship amount is transferred directly to the student’s bank account after budget allocation.
