The scheme “Mukhyamantri Mahila Poshan Yojana” was launched by the Department of Women Empowerment & Child Development, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to improve the health of pregnant and lactating women by providing nutritional food such as eggs twice a week and dates twice a week at Anganwadi Centres.

Benefits

Under the scheme, pregnant and lactating women are provided eggs two days a week and dates two days a week. Dates are given to those registered women who do not consume eggs.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
• The applicant must be a pregnant or lactating woman.

Women who are registered at the Anganwadi Centre receive the benefits at the centre itself.
