Mukhyamantri Hunar Yojana

The scheme “Mukhyamantri Hunar Yojana” was launched by the Minority Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to enhance employability and self-reliance among minority community individuals by offering free training in various traditional and modern trades.

Benefits

Under this scheme, free training is provided along with an honorarium during the training period. The honorarium is paid as follows:

₹2,000/- for 100 hours of training.
₹2,500/- for 150 hours of training.
₹4,000/- for 250 hours of training.
₹4,500/- for 300 hours of training.

The training is conducted through implementing agencies, and the honorarium is disbursed based on attendance. A minimum of 90% attendance is mandatory.

Eligibility

The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
The applicant must belong to a minority community (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Parsi, Buddhist, or Jain).
The age of the applicant should be between 18 and 45 years.
The applicant must have completed education either from a Government school or from a Madrasa.
Traditional courses (sewing, etc.): At least Class 5 pass or literate.
IT courses: At least High School pass.
Annual family income should not exceed ₹3,50,000/- (rural) and ₹4,50,000/- (urban).

Application Process

Offline

Training is provided through voluntary organizations. Interested candidates can obtain application forms from the Minority Welfare Office.
The completed form must be submitted along with Aadhaar, residence certificate, minority certificate, income certificate, and educational certificates.
Applicants are called for an interview by a selection committee. Original documents must be presented at this time.
Training programs are organized annually. Applicants may submit forms in advance to be considered when sessions commence.
