The scheme “Mukhyamantri Gyansetu Merit Scholarship Yojana” aims to select 30,000 brilliant students who have completed their Class 5 education in government, aided, or RTE-approved schools and provide them with scholarships to study in selected government, aided, or private schools from Class 6th to Class 12th. Selection is done via a Common Entrance Test (CET).

Benefits

Government and Aided Schools:

• Class 6th to 8th: ₹5,000/- per year.
• Class 9th to 10th: ₹6,000/- per year.
• Class 11th to 12th: ₹7,000/- per year.

Private (Selected) Schools:

• Class 6th to 8th: ₹20,000/- per year.
• Class 9th to 10th: ₹22,000/- per year.
• Class 11th to 12th: ₹25,000/- per year.

Disbursement: Annually in two installments; the first 50% requires 80% attendance in the first semester.

Eligibility

• Resident of Gujarat.
• Must have studied Classes 1st to 5th in Government/Aided/RTE-approved schools in Gujarat.
• Must have passed the CET conducted by the State Examination Board and be on the merit list.
• Admission must be taken in Class 6th in an approved school.
