Uttarakhand recognizes the need to act on climate change and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The Mukhayamantri Saur Swarojgar Yojna aims to provide energy security and inclusive growth by supporting small entrepreneurs and promoting clean energy.

Objectives

• Ensure availability of term loans and working capital to small businessmen and migrants.
• Create rural employment via micro-services and small industries.
• Encourage use of the Mudra Loan Scheme (Shishu).
• Strengthen the rural and urban micro-economy.

Financial Assistance

• Collateral-free loan facility up to ₹50,000 for small businesses.
• 70% loan at 8% ROI with a 25% subsidy.
• Projects up to ₹50,000 financed through banks without collateral.
• Grants are released as a lump sum after successful operation of the business for 2 years.

Eligibility

• Age: 18 to 65 years.
• No educational qualification required.
• Permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
• Not a defaulter of any nationalized bank or financial institution.
• Must have necessary knowledge of the proposed activity.
