Overview

The scheme “Maintenance Grant for Children with Disabilities from Birth” is implemented by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to provide financial assistance to parents or guardians for caring for their children below 18 years of age with more than 40% disability.

₹700/- per month is provided to parents or guardians for caring for their children.

Eligibility

• Resident of Uttarakhand.
• Parent or guardian of a child with more than 40% disability.
• Child must be below 18 years of age.
• Family monthly income must be less than ₹4,000/- or the family must belong to the BPL category.

Apply via the Pension Portal, UMANG Mobile App, or Apuni Sarkar Portal (https://eservices.uk.gov.in). Verification involves the Gram Panchayat Development Officer, Assistant Social Welfare Officer, and Block Development Officer (rural) or Sub-District Magistrate (urban). The pension amount is credited to the bank account within one month of approval.

• Mobile number and Passport-size photograph (certified)
• Aadhaar card and Voter ID card
• CBS bank account linked with Aadhaar
• Valid family income certificate or BPL certificate
• Disability certificate (>40%) and UID certificate from CMO
• Child’s birth certificate

• Resolution from Gram Panchayat (rural) or Councillor certification (urban)
