The “Maa-Badi / Maa-Badi Day-Care Centre Scheme” was introduced by the Tribal Area Development Department, Government of Rajasthan, in 2007–2008. It provides primary education, nutritional support, and health awareness to out-of-school tribal children in remote areas where the nearest school is 1.5–2 km away.

Objectives

  • Enroll 30 tribal children (6 to 12 years) at each center, with a preference for girls.
  • Provide free primary education (Classes 1 to 4).
  • Provide nutritional meals and materials to prevent migration of agricultural laborer families.
  • Involve mothers in food preparation with an honorarium.

Eligibility

  • Age: 6 to 12 years.
  • Community: Scheduled Tribe (ST), Kathodi, or Sahariya.
  • Districts: Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Sirohi, or Rajsamand.
  • Not currently enrolled in any formal school.
  • Residing 1.5–2 km away from the nearest school.

Application Process (Offline)

  1. Visit the Maa-Badi Centre during office hours.
  2. Request the application form from the designated staff.
  3. Fill mandatory fields and attach self-attested documents.
  4. Submit the form back to the Maa-Badi Centre.
