Overview

The scheme “Loktantra Senani Samman Pension Scheme” is implemented by the Police Department under the Department of Home, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance in the form of a monthly pension to the widowed wife or widower husband of democracy fighters of the state who were imprisoned under MISA/DIR during the Emergency period from 25.06.1975 to 21.03.1977.

Eligibility

• Resident of Uttarakhand.
• Widow or widower of a recognized democracy fighter.
• The deceased spouse must have been imprisoned under MISA/DIR during the Emergency period from 25.06.1975 to 21.03.1977.

Application Process

Offline

Applications must be submitted to the District Magistrate. As proof, the applicant must submit evidence that the late spouse was receiving the Loktantra Senani Pension or was imprisoned during the specified Emergency period. Approval is granted at the government level after DM recommendation.
