Overview

The “Livelihood Opportunity Promotion Scheme (Scheduled Tribe)” was launched by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to promote sustainable self-employment and income generation among Scheduled Tribe individuals by supporting viable livelihood projects. Financial assistance, including bank loans, is provided for projects between ₹50,000 and ₹2,00,000.

  • Project Cost: ₹50,000/- to ₹2,00,000/-
  • Bank Loan: 60% of the project cost
  • Margin Money: 30% of the project cost (7% annual interest, 60 monthly installments)
  • Grant: Up to ₹50,000/-
  • Beneficiary Contribution: 0% for projects up to ₹1,00,000/-; 10% for projects between ₹1,01,000/- and ₹2,00,000/-.

Eligibility

  • Permanent resident of Uttarakhand.
  • Belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
  • Age between 18 and 50 years.
  • Annual family income should not exceed ₹2,50,000/-.

Application Process

Offline

  1. Download the application form from the official website.
  2. Fill the form and attach mandatory self-attested documents.
  3. Submit to the Vikas Khand (Block Development) Office.

Selection Process

A District-Level Committee headed by the District Social Welfare Officer reviews and selects beneficiaries.
