The “Laado Protsahan Yojana” was launched on 1st August 2024 by the Department of Women Empowerment, Government of Rajasthan. The scheme aims to encourage the birth of girl children in poor families, eliminate gender discrimination, promote institutional deliveries, and ensure education through to graduation.

Benefits (Total ₹1,50,000/-)

The total benefit is disbursed in 7 installments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT):

1. At Birth: ₹2,500/- (In eligible medical institutions).
2. At 1 Year: ₹2,500/- (After completion of all vaccinations).
3. Class 1st Admission: ₹4,000/- (In govt/recognized school).
4. Class 6th Admission: ₹5,000/- (In govt/recognized school).
5. Class 10th Admission: ₹11,000/- (In govt/recognized school).
6. Class 12th Admission: ₹25,000/- (In govt/recognized school).
7. Graduation & Age 21: ₹1,00,000/- (On passing graduation and attaining 21 years of age).

Disbursement Mode: A commitment letter of ₹1.50 lakh is issued at birth. The first six installments go to the parent/guardian account; the final installment goes to the girl’s own account. The Rajshree Yojana has been merged into this scheme.

Eligibility

• Mother must be a native of Rajasthan.
• Delivery must occur in a government institution or JSY-authorized private facility.
• Child must have full immunization (for the 2nd installment).
• Child must be enrolled in recognized educational institutions for subsequent installments.
• Daughter must graduate and reach 21 years of age for the final installment.

Application Process

For Parents: Visit the nearest office of the Department of Medical, Health & Family Welfare with necessary documents.

Process Flow:

• 1st & 2nd Installments: Data entered on PCTS portal (PCTS Portal) during ANC checkups and delivery. DBT is automatic.
• Installments 3 to 6: Automatically tracked by schools via the portal using previous installment IDs. No fresh application needed.
• 7th Installment: Department of Higher Education uploads graduation documents. Payment is made to the girl after age verification.
