Laadli Laxmi Scheme was launched on 6th July 2012 by the Department of Women & Child Development, Government of Goa to address female foeticide and empower girls financially for education and other expenses.
Benefits
- For Unmarried Beneficiaries: (Attaining 18 on/after 01-04-2012) Financial Assistance of ₹ 1,00,000 as a bank fixed deposit. Renewed annually until claimed or age 45.
- For Married Beneficiaries: (Attained 18 before 01-04-2012 and in age 19-45 as of 01-04-2016) Financial Assistance of ₹ 1,00,000 in cash.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a girl.
- Born in Goa OR resident of Goa for the last 15 years.
- If 15-year resident, must have studied in Goa for 7 continuous years.
- Parental income not exceeding ₹ 3,00,000 per annum.
- One parent must be born in Goa and a 15-year resident, OR one parent must be a 25-year resident.
Application Process
Offline
- Step 1: Fill the application form and attach self-attested documents.
- Step 2: Submit to the Director, Directorate of Women And Child Development, Panaji-Goa.
- NOTE: Application must be submitted within one year of turning 18 or civil marriage.

- Birth Certificate (Applicant and Parents).
- Residence Certificate (15 or 25 years).
- School records/Bonafide certificates.
- Aadhaar Card.
- Annual Income Certificate of parents.
- Annexure II Self-Declaration.
- Marriage Certificate (if applicable).
