KSCSTE Post-Doctoral Fellowships are provided to Ph.D. holders in science and engineering with high-quality research publications. The program encourages doctorate holders to develop careers as scientists. The fellowship must be availed at an institution other than where Ph.D. work was conducted.

Objectives: Support research aptitude, motivate career development, and impart technical leadership skills.

Necessary Conditions:
• Must have a Scientist Mentor (regular faculty with 5+ years service left).
• No simultaneous stipend from other sources.
• Institute must provide full infrastructure.
• Unutilized grants must be refunded.
• KSCSTE acknowledgement required in publications.
• Prior approval needed for foreign collaborations.

Benefits

• Fellowship of ₹45,000/- + 10% HRA per month.
• Annual contingency grant of ₹75,000/-.
• Duration: Maximum 2 years.

Eligibility

• Permanent Resident of Kerala.
• Min 60% marks in post-graduation.
• Ph.D. in Science/Engineering.
• Not a permanent employee.
• Age limit: 40 years (OBC +3 yrs, SC/ST +5 yrs).
• At least one research paper in SCI Journal or secured patent.
• Research Centre must be different from Ph.D. Centre; tenable in Government R&D institutions or Universities.

Selection: Preliminary scrutiny, peer review by 5 experts, and presentation before Programme Advisory Committee (PAC).
