The scheme “KSCSTE Emeritus Scientist Scheme” helps to provide an opportunity for superannuated outstanding scientists to pursue research in their respective fields of specialization. Scientists/Academicians from Kerala in Science/Engineering retired from service with research publications are eligible.

Objectives:
• Tap knowledge of superannuated scientists.
• Utilize talent to address state-level issues.

Benefits

  • Monthly fellowship of ₹31,000/- for max 3 years.
  • Annual Contingent grant of ₹1,00,000/-.
  • Technical Assistance via a Project Fellow.

Eligibility

  • Permanent Resident of Kerala.
  • Retired scientist/academician from reputed institutions.
  • Apply within 5 years of superannuation.
  • Minimum 3 peer-reviewed research papers (SCI-indexed, IF > 2.0) or one patent in last 3 years.
  • Previous fellowship holders under this scheme are ineligible.
  • Research Centre must be an R&D Centre of KSCSTE.

Scrutiny/Selection:
1. Preliminary scrutiny for eligibility.
2. Peer review by 5 experts (needs score > 5/10 from at least 3).
3. Presentation before Programme Advisory Committee (PAC).
4. Final decision and agreement execution.
