The “Kerala Biotechnology Re-Entry Fellowship (K-BiREF)” attracts well-trained researchers (Indian nationals) working abroad in biotechnology frontier areas to research institutions in Kerala. Areas include biomedical sciences, agriculture, bioengineering, energy, environment, and bioinformatics.
Benefits
- Monthly remuneration: ₹1,00,000/- and ₹18,500/- HRA.
- Annual research/contingency grant: ₹7.5 lakh (Years 1-2) and ₹5 lakh (Years 3-5).
- Medical/transport benefits as per host institution norms.
Eligibility
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent with at least 3 years postdoctoral experience abroad.
- Outstanding track record in biotechnology.
- Indian nationals working overseas below 45 years (relaxable for OBC/SC/ST/PH).
- Tenable at reputed institution in Kerala.
