The “Jharkhand State Migrant Labourers Survey and Rehabilitation Scheme” was launched by the Department of Labour, Employment & Training, Government of Jharkhand. The scheme aims to identify and support migrant workers from the state and ensures social security, rehabilitation, and welfare for migrant workers and their families. Financial, healthcare, and livelihood support are provided under the scheme. It seeks to address vulnerabilities faced by workers and empower them with sustainable solutions.

Eligibility
The migrant worker must be a resident of Jharkhand.
The worker must be between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
The death or injury must have occurred due to an accident while working outside the state.
The worker must be engaged in an unskilled or semi-skilled job.
The worker should belong to economically weaker sections (EWS).

Step 1: The interested applicant should visit (during office hours) the district labor office and request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the staff exclusively entrusted to issue and collect filled-in applications.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the district labor office.
Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the district labor office to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
NOTE:
The incident must be reported to the nearest government office (such as the Block Development Officer, Labor Superintendent, or District Magistrate) within a specified timeframe.

Proof of employment or migration outside Jharkhand.
Identity proof of the applicant.
Income certificate or proof of belonging to EWS.
Bank account details for transferring benefits.
