Jal Hauj

A Jal Hauj scheme under the Agriculture Department of Rajasthan provides the benefit of subsidy on Jal Hauj. According to this scheme, farmers have to construct a Jal Hauj on the elevated part of their land, which can be filled with borewell water overnight and in the morning crops can be irrigated with the water collected in the Hauj. The department is providing financial assistance to the farmers. After filling the Jal Hauj with water, farmers can easily irrigate their crops through the pipeline.

Important points

The department will do spot verification before and after the construction of the water tank.
The grant amount will be deposited directly into the farmer’s account.

Benefits

Grant for all farmers: 60% of the cost or max ₹90,000/-

Eligibility

The applicant must be a native of Rajasthan.
The applicant should be a Farmer.
The farmer should have a minimum cultivable land of half a hectare on his name.
The applicant should be a source and means of irrigation.
Water tank size should be 100 cubic meters or one lakh liter capacity.

Application Process

Online Registration:

Step-1: Applicant must visit the official portal.
Step-2: Click on the option “Register”.
Step-3: Then you will be redirected to the SSO registration page. Choose the “Citizen” option.
Step-4: Choose either Jan Aadhaar or Google to process further.
– Jan Aadhaar: Enter the Jan Aadhaar number, click ‘Next’, Select your name, and Click ‘Send OTP’. Enter the ‘OTP’ and Click ‘Verify OTP’ to complete registration.
– Google: Enter Gmail ID, click ‘Next’, Enter password. Click on the new SSO link, create password, enter mobile number, and click on registration.
Step-5: Submit.

How to Apply:

Step-1: Applicant must visit the official portal.
Step-2: After login, the dashboard will open.
Step-3: Click on the “RAJ-KISAN” option.
Step-4: In “Farmer”, click on “Application Entry Request”.
Step-5: Enter the “Bhamashah ID” or “Janaadhaar ID” and search.
Step-6: Select the person name and scheme name.
Step-7: Complete the Aadhaar Authentication and click on Get details.
Step-8: Provide the required details: Pensioner Details, Bank Details, Disability Details, Verification Details, and Upload Documents.
Step-9: Submit.

After the application, administrative approval for the construction of the water tank will be issued by the Agriculture Department. Information about this will be received through mobile message or from the agriculture supervisor.
