The scheme “Incentive to Owners of Artificial Insemination Born Female Calf through Pure Breeding in Indigenous Cow” was started to avoid a decrease in the number of local pure breeds (Gir and Kankrej) in Gujarat.

Benefits

• Incentive of ₹3,000/- for owners of a female calf born through AI by pure breeding in indigenous cows.
• Assistance given once per year for one calf per beneficiary.

Eligibility

• Permanent resident of Gujarat State.
• Owner of a female calf born through AI in indigenous cows.
• Age of the calf should not be more than 11 months at the time of online application.

Application Process

Online: https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/

• Step 01: Apply online at I-Khedut Portal under Animal Husbandry Schemes.
• Step 02: Fill out and confirm the application within seven days of saving.
• Step 03: Upload PDF documents (max 200 KB).
• Step 04: Print the confirmed application, sign it, and submit it to the nearby Veterinary Officer.
