The “Housing Subsidy Scheme” is implemented by the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board (GBOCWWB), Labour, Skill Development & Employment Department, Government of Gujarat. The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to construction workers registered with the board to build their own houses. Started in 2021-22, it aims to provide financial relief and social stability through subsidies.

Benefits

  • Under the scheme, the assistance of ₹1,50,000/- will be provided to registered construction workers for a duration of 5 years, with ₹30,000/- disbursed annually subject to the terms of assistance.
  • The construction workers who have taken a loan up to a maximum of ₹15 lakhs to buy their house will be provided ₹30,000/- per year for five years.

Eligibility

  • The construction workers registered with the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board.
  • Mandatory to have at least the last 2 years of registration with the board at the time of application.
  • The building must be documented after the date of resolution of the scheme (29/06/2020).
  • Application must be made within one year from the date of the house purchase document.
  • Loan amount should not exceed ₹15 lakhs and loan tenure should be 10 years or more.
  • The worker or spouse should not own any other house or property; an affidavit is required.
  • Annual submission of bank loan interest certificate/statement is required to continue receiving assistance.

Process for ‘E-Nirman Card’:

  • Step 01: Visit the e-Nirman Portal: https://enirmanbocw.gujarat.gov.in/
  • Step 02: Click on ‘Please Register Here’ under ‘Login to Portal’.
  • Step 03: Enter mandatory info and click ‘Register’.
  • Step 04: Login through User ID and Password.
  • Step 05: Update profile with necessary details.
  • Step 06: Select ‘Construction Works Form’ and fill it.
  • Step 07: Upload documents and submit.

Process for Scheme Benefit:

  • Step 01: Visit the Sanman Portal: https://sanman.gujarat.gov.in/
  • Step 02: Under ‘Citizen Login’, click on ‘Please Register Here’.
  • Step 03: Enter Aadhaar Number and E-Nirman Card Number.
  • Step 04: Click ‘Fetch’ & submit.
  • Step 05: Login and select the scheme.
  • Step 06: Fill the application and upload documents.

  • Caste Category certificate
  • Proof of age (Birth certificate/DL/PAN/Voter ID)
