Overview

The Beneficiary’s Death or Injury Assistance Scheme by the Labor Department provides financial security to families of construction workers for loss of life or injuries (accidental or natural).

Benefits

• Accidental death: ₹5,00,000/-
• Permanent total disability (accidental): ₹3,00,000/-
• Partial permanent disability (accidental): ₹1,00,000/-
• Serious injury (accidental, admitted 5+ days): Up to ₹20,000/-
• Minor injuries (admitted < 5 days): Up to ₹5,000/-
• Normal death of worker: ₹75,000/-

Eligibility

• Construction workers aged 18 to 60.
• Registered with labor board and depositing contributions.
• Exclusion: Suicide, drug-related incidents, or criminal activity.

Application Process

Online Link: SSO Portal

• Login to SSO, select “LDMS”.
• Go to “Welfare Schemes” -> BOCW Welfare Board -> “Apply for Scheme”.
• Select the specific yojana and fill details.
• Submit.

Documents Required

• Hospital discharge ticket (accident).
• Mortuary report or FIR (accidental death).
• Death certificate.
• Employer certificate.
• Registration identity card.
• Bhamashah/Jan Aadhaar card.
• Aadhar Card.
• Bank passbook copy.
