The scheme “Grant of House Construction Subsidy to Scheduled Caste People” was introduced by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, Government of Puducherry. Through this scheme, the poor Scheduled Caste people, and other Economically backward class people, who meet the eligibility criteria, are provided house construction subsidy.

Benefits

The subsidy amount of ₹4,00,000/- is granted in 3 Instalments as follows:

  • 1st Installment: ₹1,50,000/- on possession of vacant house site.
  • 2nd Installment: ₹1,50,000/-.
  • 3rd Installment: ₹1,00,000/-.
  • Building materials worth ₹1,00,000/- will also be provided.

Eligibility

  • The applicant should be a citizen of India and a native/permanent resident of Puducherry.
  • The applicant should not currently possess a house.

For Scheduled Caste:

  • The applicant should have a house site area of 450 sq.ft.
  • Annual income should not exceed ₹2,00,000/-.

For Other Economically Backward Class:

  • The applicant should have a house site granted by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department.
  • Annual income should not exceed ₹24,000/-.

Application Process

  • Step 1: Visit the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department office for the application form.
  • Step 2: Fill the form and attach documents (self-attest if required).
  • Step 3: Submit to the concerned authority and obtain a receipt.

Documents Required

  • Residence-cum-nativity Certificate.
  • Aadhar Card and Bank Pass Book.
  • Caste Certificate and Income Certificate.
  • Encumbrance Certificate and Parent Document.
  • Photocopy of Plot / Vacant Land and Site Map.
  • Ration Card and Voter Card.
