Description

Introduced in 2015-16, this scheme covers Village and Municipal Child Committees set up under The Goa Children’s Homes Rules, 2004.

Benefits

• Annual financial grant of ₹10,000.
• Released in a single installment within three months.
• Payment via electronic transfer to the local body.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be a Village Panchayat or Municipal Local Body.
• Must have established a Child Committee.
• Committee must have met at least once in the three months prior to application.
• Local body must provide space for Committee sittings.

Application Process

Offline
Step 1: Submit proposal addressed to the Director, Directorate of Women And Child Development, Panaji.
Step 2: For Panchayats, the Secretary signs with a body resolution and BDO recommendation.
Step 3: For Municipalities, the Chief Executive signs with a body resolution.
Deadline: Application must be submitted within six months of the start of the financial year.

Documents showing the activities of the Child Committee (meeting minutes, issue resolutions, etc.).
