Description

This component provides a one-time allowance for the installation of tracking devices on goods carriers to enhance transportation safety and efficiency.

Benefits

• 50% reimbursement of expenditure.
• Maximum ₹5,000 per tracking device, per truck/carrier.
• Limited to 1,000 trucks/carriers per fiscal year on first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility

• Non-mega industry fleet owners/transport operators in Goa.
• Vehicles must be registered with Goa RTO and hold a valid permit.
• Continuous operations for six months.
• Minimum 40% local employment.
• Device purchase must be after the 2023 policy announcement.

Exclusion

Subscription services and software costs are excluded. Benefit covers only hardware purchase and installation.

Application Process

Online
Step 1: Apply via Goa Online portal.
Step 2: DITC verifies and inspects (Photographs of carrier and device are checked).
Step 3: IRC sanctions the claim. Disbursement occurs within 90 days.

Documents Required

• Invoices for tracking device and carrier purchase.
• Goa RTO Registration copy and commercial tax receipt.
• Valid permit and 5 E-way bills from the last six months (to/from Goa).
• Photographs of functioning device and road/water carrier.
• Standard business registration and payroll documents.
