Description

Notified on 31st December 2008, this scheme provided financial assistance to industrial and service units to maintain quality standards and achieve excellence through certification and patenting. The scheme was in force until 31st March 2011.

Benefits

Financial assistance of up to ₹2,00,000 or actual expenses incurred (whichever is less) for obtaining certifications like ISI, ISO, or patent rights. Lodging, boarding, and travel expenses are not covered.

Eligibility

  • Micro, Small, Medium, and Large-scale industries or Service industries in Green/Orange categories.
  • Must be permanently registered or acknowledged with EM II.
  • Service sector inclusions: Hospitals recognized by DHS, Educational institutions affiliated to Goa University/Board, and certain Co-operative Banks.
  • Units can avail this once in their lifetime.
  • Units that already received central assistance can claim the balance amount.

Application Process

Offline
Step 1: Download format from the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce website.
Step 2: Submit filled application to the Director.
Step 3: Verification is completed within three months, and disbursement occurs within six months of approval.

Documents Required

  • Proof of Certification (ISI/ISO/Patent).
  • Permanent Registration/EM II proof.
  • Clearance from HPCC (if applicable).
  • Recognition documents from relevant Directorates (DHS/Education/Co-operative Societies).
