The scheme “Financial Incentives to Mothers who Deliver a Girl Child (Mamta)” by the Directorate of Women And Child Development aims to improve the Female Child Sex Ratio. It is open to all mothers who deliver a live girl child (up to 2 deliveries) in a registered medical institution.

Benefits

₹ 10,000/- as a one-time financial incentive at birth. Benefits are directly credited to the declared bank account.

Eligibility

  • Mother who delivered a live girl child in a registered institution.
  • Resident of Goa for at least 3 years or married to a resident of Goa.
  • Application must be made within 45 days of delivery.
  • Available to all mothers regardless of socio-economic status.

Application Process

Offline

Apply in the prescribed format to the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of the ICDS Block Office at Anganwadi Centres.

Documents Required

  • Self-attested copy of Aadhaar Card.
  • Birth Report/Certificate from registered institution.
  • Residence Proof (3 years) or Marriage Certificate and Husband’s residence proof.
  • Pre-Receipt in duplicate (Annexure-2 or 3).
