“Financial Assistance to Take up Value Addition to Seafood” is a scheme by the Department of Fisheries, Goa. It provides financial assistance to individuals who have lived in Goa for 15 years and want to set up units for value-added fisheries products.

Benefits

• Construction or Renovation of Unit: 50% subsidy, limited to ₹5,00,000 per unit.
• Purchase of Equipment: 50% subsidy, limited to ₹2,00,000 per unit.

Eligibility

• Individual interested in setting up a unit for value-added fisheries products.
• Resident of Goa for at least 15 years.
• Preference: Self-help groups, women entrepreneurs, and youth with fisheries training.

Application Process

Offline

Step 1: Request application format from the department.
Step 2: Fill form, paste photo, and attach self-attested documents.
Step 3: Submit to the Department of Fisheries, Patto Colony, Panaji, or BDO Sub-Offices.

Detailed Project Report, Land Availability/Ownership proof, Identity proof, 15-year Residence Certificate, SHG Registration (if applicable), and Mandate Form.
